TRIOS – QUARTETS – QUINTETS

The basic Trio, of Paul on saxes and clarinet with guitar and bass, can add a trumpet, second sax, drum or violin to form the Quartet. The Trio or Quartet is ideal for background music in intimate spaces. The Quintet can be “three up front” with guitar and bass, or “two up front” plus drums (highly recommended for dancing). The Trio, Quartet, and Quintet are in the classic jazz and standards idiom, with modern touches of the bebop or bossa nova style. Paul adds his wide-ranging vocal repertory upon request.

SEXTETS – SEPTETS – OCTETS

Paul presents these highly versatile groups as his Rhythmopolitans. The Sextet of 2 saxes, trumpet, guitar, bass and drums, is your best value in the popular small band swing style. With trombone or third sax added, the Rhythmopolitans offer something unique—a “Little Big Band” that gives the atmosphere and repertory of the larger Rhythm De Luxe at a truly affordable rate.

THE RHYTHM DE LUXE ORCHESTRA

For those occasions when only a full orchestra will do, Paul offers his Rhythm De Luxe organization of 9 to 12 pieces, as heard at New York's Midsummer Night Swing and Symphony Space. Unlike many other large orchestras, the Rhythm De Luxe combines swing and “society styled” dance music, played with classic elegance, with Paul as vocalist and frontman. Whether for a jumping Big Band Night or an elegant dinner dance event, the Rhythm De Luxe is a musical experience your guests will long remember.
